Written by , published September 11, 2013

The Texas Book Festival has announced the lineup of authors for this October’s event, including several whose books are currently on the New York Times bestseller list.

More than 225 authors will participate in the 18th year of the Book Festival, which takes place October 26-27 at the State Capitol. It’s always a fun and enriching event with activities for the whole family, from weighty panel discussions to live music, children's presentations, and cooking demonstrations.

Headliners this year include Reza Aslan, author of “Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth"; Mark Leibovich, author of “This Town”; and Scott Anderson, author of “Lawrence in Arabia: War, Deceit, Imperial Folly and the Making of the Modern Middle East.”

A full list of participating authors is available on the TBF website.

If you make it to the festival, be sure to swing by and visit with Texas Highways at booth 221, located in an exhibition tent west of the Capitol building along the driveway.
