Bruce and Kelly's Annual Holiday Shindig

Austin: Dec. 16
It's a bonafide Paramount Theatre holiday tradition. Last year's sold-out Christmas bash featured a knockout guest performance from Lee Ann Womack, and you can bet Kelly Willis and Bruce Robison will outdo themselves with this year's show. The singer-songwriter husband-and-wife duo will perform songs from their Christmas album "Happy Holidays," holiday-themed classics, and more.

Christmas Bird Count

Pine Springs: Dec. 16
This one is for the birds. Join a citizen-science project that has been occurring across the country for more than 100 years, and help document bird populations at Guadalupe Mountains National Park. Possible bird species to see include western bluebirds, cedar waxwings, phainopeplas, pyrrhuloxias, Steller's jays, golden eagles, black-throated sparrows, and white-crowned sparrows. Meet at the Cholla Chateau (park housing area across from the main park entrance).

Campfire Christmas

Richmond: Dec. 16
Travel back in time for a fun-filled visit to Christmas Eves past at George Ranch Historical Park. This visitor-favorite evening event includes a visit with the 1890s George Ranch cowboys, complete with songs, stories, cider, and cocoa around the campfire. Reservations are required.

The Christmas Town

Boerne: Dec. 16
Walk through Bethlehem to enjoy live music, beautiful lights, hayrides, a gingerbread forest, shopping, kid's activities, great food, and so much more. The weekend in Boerne also holds Cowboy Christmas Market Days, an outdoor market with a cowboy twist, so you can finish your last-second Christmas shopping. Get your pictures taken in the old jailhouse with period cowboys and Old West characters, and enjoy arts, crafts, antiques, collectibles, chic clothing, jewelry, accessories, vintage, decor, and more.
