Web Extra: Stay and Play Discount
With summer right around the corner, many cities are rolling out promotional packages to offer visitors deals on attractions, hotels, and amenities. As you’re planning your vacation, it’s a good idea to contact the destination’s Convention and Visitors Bureau, visitor’s center, or local chamber of commerce office to learn about coupon booklets, discount passes, or other perks for travelers.
For example, the Corpus Christi Convention & Visitors Bureau recently unveiled a discount pass called the Stay & Play Pass. Here’s how it works: Purchase a pass for $50 (including tax), and you can choose one-time admission at any time during a five-day span to the Art Museum of South Texas, the Corpus Christi Museum of Science & History, the South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature Center, the Texas State Aquarium, and the USS Lexington Museum on the Bay—plus a free ride on the Harbor Ferry. Additional perks include savings at museum gift shops, parking vouchers, and restaurant coupons.
