Serendipity 2012: National Wildflower Week Exhibit

In May, Texas Highways celebrates National Wildflower Week with an exhibit of the showy springtime images on these pages at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin. The Serendipity of Wildflowers 2012 will be on view in the center’s McDermott Learning Center from May 7-13.

The Wildflower Center’s annual Wildflower Days take place March 12-May 31 this year. Two other exhibits open that same weekend: A Bouquet for Mrs. J (Logan Stollenwerck’s giant metal flowers) and Shou Ping’s Paper Sculptures—both on view through May 28. This year’s lineup also includes the Spring Plant Sale & Gardening Festival (April 13-15), Gardens on Tour (May 12; access to several private gardens and tours of the center’s displays), and the opening of the Mollie Steves Zachry Texas Arboretum on May 19.
