Vinegar Cobbler

1 1/4 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. shortening 4 T. water 1/4 c. apple vinegar 2 c. water 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla Mix flour, salt, and cut in shortening. Add 4 T. water and mix into dough. Divide into 3 equal parts and roll each into a sheet 1/2 inch thick. Cut into strips 1 inch wide. Mix all other ingredients in small Dutch oven and heat to a boil. While boiling, drop in strips of pastry until two thirds of it is used. Remove Dutch oven from the heat, use the last third of pastry to criss-cross over the top, sprinkle with 2 T. margarine cut in small pieces and bake until top is brown (bake in an oven at 375 degrees).
