1/2 c. shortening 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1 c. sugar 2 c. flour 1 c. persimmon pulp 3 tsp. baking powder 2 beaten eggs 1/2 tsp. salt Cream together the shortening and sugar, then add the pulp and eggs. Sift the other ingredients and add to the mixture. Beat well. Pour into a greased pan and baked at 350 degrees for about one hour.
