Swiss Apple Salad

Apples taste great fresh off the tree and in a variety of dishes. Austin food stylist Fran Gerling adapted and prepared the following colorful and delicious treats from recipes provided by Carol Adams of Adams Apples.

3 large red apples, diced
2 T. lemon juice
1 c. seedless green apples, halved
3/4 c. grated Swiss cheese
1/2 c. sliced celery
1/2 c. sliced pecans
1/3 c. mayonnaise
Lettuce leaves

Sprinkle diced apples with lemon juice. Toss lightly. Add next ingredients except lettuce. Mix well. Serve on lettuce leaves. Serves 6
