1/4 c. butter or margarine
1 c. chopped green onions
4 c. cooked white rice
2 c. sour cream
1 c. cream-style cottage cheese
1 large bay leaf, cut fine
1/2 tsp. salt dash of pepper
4 oz. canned green chiles, drained and chopped (leave seeds in)
2 c. sharp cheddar cheese, grated parsley and paprika for garnish
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease 12x8x2 baking dish (2 quart). Sauté onion in butter. Remove from heat and combine with remaining ingredients. Toss lightly to mix. Bake uncovered 25 minutes until bubbly and hot. Sprinkle with paprika and parsley before serving.
