Prairies and Lakes: The Long, Unwinding Road

Like a lanky Texan, the Prairies and Lakes region stretches from the Red River down to the Guadalupe. Delightful surprises are sprinkled along its backroads like wildflowers in springtime. My husband, Charles, and I found everything from archeology to architecture, baseball gloves to blacksmithing, diamonds to Duesenbergs.
