Grits Casserole

Serves 12

 

 

  • 1 1/2 c. grits
  • 6 c. water
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1 (1 lb) box Old English brand process cheese
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 T. seasoned salt
  • 2/3 tsp. Tabasco pepper sauce
  • paprika

Cook grits in six c. unsalted boiling water for five minutes or until thick. Remove from heat; add margarine and cheese, and stir until both are melted. Add eggs and all seasonings except paprika. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Sprinkle with paprika.
