Barbeque Sauce

  • 3 pints water 
  • 1 pint white distilled vinegar 
  • 1 heaping tsp. black pepper, medium grind 
  • 1 heaping tsp. ground red pepper (cayenne) 
  • 1 ground chile pepper or 1 T. chili powder 
Bring above ingredients to a boil. Use half as a basting sauce. To the other half, add the following, and serve with the meat. 
  • 1 1/2 c. ketchup 
  • 3/4 to 1 c. sugar 2 oz. 
  • Worcestershire sauce 
  • 1 T. salt or to taste
