This annual PGA golf tournament is continually ranked as one of the best stops on the tour. 

Fireworks over the Bay

South Padre Island: May 24-25
At 9:15 p.m. sharp, a silent barge in the center of the bay releases its payload into the summer sky.

Hot Luck Festival

Austin: May 24-27
The second annual event honors the soul, sweat, and DIY diversity of the food and music world. Enjoy an a la carte eat-with-your-fingers picnic and party experience highlighting the open-pit feats of culinary know how, set to music as thoughtfully created as the food on your plate. The festival will once again host a series of customizable events and surprises all around the city, with live music and signature culinary events every night in the city's most iconic venues.

National Polka Festival

Ennis: May 25-27

Bike the Bricks

McKinney: May 25
Criterium bike racers from all over the nation battle it out on the bricks and tight turns of historic downtown. Spectators are merely inches from the action as riders rocket past, powered only by their legs and protected from the pavement only by their skill. Bring the whole family to enjoy food, spirits, and festivities at this free cycling event. 

Fredericksburg Crawfish Festival

Fredericksburg: May 25-27
A three-day festival dedicated to music, entertainment, food, beverages, and fun inspired by all things Cajun.

Scarborough Renaissance Festival

Waxahachie: Through May 28 
It's the final weekend to enjoy this festival set back in the time of King Henry VII with arts, crafts, vendors, food, and entertainment.

"Andy Warhol: Cowboys and Indians"

San Antonio: May 25-Sept. 3
A special exhibition debuts this weekend at the Briscoe Western Art Museum, featuring the 10 original works of the set combined with additional color proof prints—and prints of other Western icons painted by the father of Pop Art in America.

Memorial Day Artisan Show

San Antonio: May 25-28
More than 40 artists display and sell their beautiful handmade merchandise along the San Antonio River Walk. Artisans are different for each show but usually include pottery, textiles, jewelry, woodwork, paintings, beadwork, and more. Admission is free. 

SALT Club Memorial Classic Fishing Tournament

Port Arthur: May 26-27
Family fishing events on Pleasure Island, which offers year-round fishing, boating, and birding appeal. 

Festival of Wine and Food

Rockport: May 26-27
Celebrate Memorial Day weekend with the 22nd annual event at the Texas Maritime Museum, featuring a wide variety of wines of the Americas, food demonstrations, and specialty food concessions. Live bands and entertainment make the event lively and fun. 

USO-Style Memorial Day Hangar Dance

Fredericksburg: May 26
Dress in your best 1940s-inspired outfit and help support the USO in Ft. Hood—head to the Hangar Hotel Pacific Showroom for swing dance lessons and music by the Lone Star Swing Orchestra. 

Fiesta Charra

Lewisville: May 26
A demonstration of traditional charreada activities including traditional dress and horsemanship performances based on the animal husbandry practices in the haciendas of Old Mexico. Live music will also be included. 

Funtier Days Parade

Bandera: May 26
Annual Memorial Day Weekend parade down Main Street—one of the most colorful parades of the year.
